Field Service Technician required for a leading national company specialising in providing workshop solutions for the automotive and heavy vehicle markets. With a reputation built on quality and reliability they are looking at expanding their current team of field technicians in the WA market covering Metro and Regional areas. The role will demand that the successful representatives will be able to provide prompt, efficient and reliable service to new and existing customers across Perth and WA regional regions covering everything from installations, maintenance, repairs and customer training and support. You will be backed by a full support team and training based out of head office in Brisbane but also have some support from the Perth based operations. Key Responsibilities:

  • All aspects of installation, fault finding, diagnosis and service/mechanical repairs on a range of equipment such as vehicle service equipment, hoists and lifts
  • Manage all site installations as per company requirements
  • Provide training and support to clients after the installation of new products
  • Conduct mechanical and hydraulic repairs as required
  • Manage all workflow according to schedule across the state as directed by the Customer Service Coordinators
  • Provide timely and details diagnostics and service reports
  • Ability to travel occasionally to regional WA 

Key Requirements:

  • Mechanical Trade Qualification (Automotive or Mechanical Fitter)
  • A restricted electrical licence or experience to work on equipment up to 24 volts (beneficial)
  • Previous experience in a maintenance or technical service role
  • Experience in diagnosing automotive workshop equipment or similar
  • Ability to read, review and interpret maintenance and repair manuals, installation drawings and manuals
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills in both written and verbal
  • A professional approach to all your work
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to travel throughout regional WA and Pilbara as required from time to time
