Reporting to the Finance Manager, this company is seeking the skills of a highly focused Assistant Accountant to join their accounting team.
Duties will include:
- Preparing, processing and improving month end tasks incorporating various journals and account reconciliations
- Ensure costs are captured in the correct GL account codes and investigate variances to budget
- Processing foreign currency transactions
- Managing intercompany transactions
- Assist with the half year and year end audit and reporting process
- Maintain the fixed assets register and CAPEX approval process
- Responsible for the fortnightly payroll for 50 salaried staff
- Lodge BAS, payroll tax, PAYG and FBT
- Assisting the Financial Controller and CFO with ad hoc analysis and reports
- Assist with supporting budget schedules and budget & forecast templates
- Provide support for monthly project accounting reports
