We are currently seeking a Junior Project Manager to plan, schedule, and coordinate a range of minor civil projects across WA. With full in-house project management training provided, the ideal candidate will have previous experience within the construction industry and enjoy managing competing priorities.
Working closely with the Project Managers, you will spend an average of 30% on-site and 70% in the Bayswater office. To be successful in this role, you must align with the company culture and have an eagerness to learn. In return, you will be mentored on how to successfully manage a project and be given larger opportunities as your skillset develops.
Key Responsibilities:
- Obtain permits, licenses, inductions, and certificates from appropriate authorities.
- Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations.
- Collaborate with the manufacturing division for the delivery of materials.
- Plan all installation operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines are met.
- Acquire equipment and material, and monitor stocks to handle inadequacies in a timely manner.
- Coordinate and schedule permanent staff, contractors, and other staff, and allocate responsibilities.
- Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports.
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience in building/civil construction or similar.
- An understanding of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles.
- Sound knowledge of MS Office.
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- A team player with leadership abilities.
