We are seeking a highly personable Customer Service Officer to join an industry-leading, privately owned organisation supplying a wide range of building material solutions across Australia.
With additional bonuses available and working in a newly renovated facility in Bayswater, this role operates Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 4:00pm, with optional overtime available.
You will join a supportive team and receive comprehensive product and systems training to set you up for success. The role is primarily focused on inbound customer service and order processing, with additional responsibilities across email, phone, web chat, and assisting walk-in customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process customer orders and manage inbound phone enquiries
- Provide live chat support via the website
- Keep clients updated on ETAs, backorders, and product substitutions
- Respond to enquiries, prepare quotes, and follow up to secure orders
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience in a customer service or internal sales role
- Strong communication skills, both phone and written
- A friendly, personable approach with the ability to build strong customer relationships
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Confident using computer systems (CRM/ERP experience highly regarded)
- A proactive, professional and solutions-focused approach with a strong team mindset
