We are seeking a National Service Manager for a market-leading supplier of heavy vehicle workshop equipment, supporting customers across Australia through a national service network. With technicians located in every major state, they are looking for an experienced service leader to take ownership of developing and driving the performance of their national service function.

Reporting to the General Manager of Operations, this role will focus on coaching and developing field technicians, improving service capability, and ensuring consistent customer outcomes nationwide.

The role includes regular interstate travel (approximately 3–4 days per month) to support technicians, deliver training, and strengthen the national service network. You will also oversee service budgets, monitor KPIs, and ensure the team delivers high-quality technical support.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead, coach, and develop a national team of service technicians.
• Provide mentoring, technical support, and training to improve technician capability.
• Monitor technician KPIs including productivity, utilisation, and service performance.
• Conduct regular interstate site visits to support technicians and customers.
• Manage service budgets, costs, and operational performance.
• Identify and implement service improvements and process efficiencies.
• Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

Key Requirements
• Trade qualification in heavy vehicle, automotive, mechanical, electrical, or related discipline.
• Proven experience leading or supporting field service technicians.
• Background within the heavy vehicle, workshop equipment, or technical service sector.
• Strong coaching, leadership, and people development skills.
• Experience managing KPIs, budgets, and service performance.
• Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving ability.
• Willingness to undertake regular interstate travel.
