Seeking a skilled Interim Financial Controller to join this incredible NFP organisation.
 
This organisation plays an important role in funding the ongoing development of their sporting code via their affiliates, schools, competitions and academies across all WA communities.   
 
Driving participation in the game is the organisations key deliverable ensuring the sport has an active role in building better communities through various development programs from elite level to grassroots.
 
Reporting to the Executive Manager of Operations and Capability, the duties will include:

  • Leading the finance function, including managing and coaching the Finance team
  • Supporting the EM Operations and Capability in the financial strategy and performance
  • Actively representing the finance function to the business and other stakeholders
  • Making recommendations on the financial policy and strategies
  • Ensuring that the business has access to accurate, timely and relevant financial reporting, budgets, and forecasts, including insights
  • Reviewing the adequacy of internal financial controls and improving as required, including but not limited to the developing/updating of policies, processes and systems
  • Ensure that company is compliant with all tax and regulatory reporting/payment obligations
  • Managing and overseeing the annual audit process
  • Overseeing the cashflow planning and investments as per approved policy, to maximise investment income
  • Overseeing the insurance policies and be the senior point of contact

Experience Required:

  • Professional accounting qualifications – CA/CPA
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a role responsible for the full financial management of an organisation, in a fast-paced corporate environment
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the private, ASX listed or public sector in a senior finance role
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in leading and managing a finance team
  • Experience in developing and implementing strategic financial plans
  • Financial analysis experience
  • Experience in managing major change projects within an organisation, including financial models, business cases for new commercial and business opportunities
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong written and oral communication skill
  • ERP systems experience, along with enterprise planning software
  • Experience of preparing board papers and presenting to a board

 
Previous experience with Microsoft Business Central and SAP Concur would be advantageous but most important is your ability to adapt to new systems easily.
