This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Key Account Manager to join a well established Australian supplier of light vehicle parts to the mining, fleet and industrial sectors.

In this role you will look after a portfolio of key accounts and be the trusted point of contact for each client, building strong, long-term relationships that lead to new sites, new product categories and sustainable margins. This is an account development role with regular site visits, typically one trip a fortnight of one to three days, focused mainly on regional WA with some interstate travel.

Reporting to the Head of Sales & Marketing, you will manage opportunities from first conversation to close. With quoting handled by the technical internal sales team, you can focus on client calls and face-to-face appointments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships across a portfolio of key accounts, from site level through to head office
  • Develop a clear understanding of each client’s operations, challenges and priorities, and position the right solutions to support them
  • Grow each account by winning new sites, product categories and related entities
  • Identify product categories customers currently buy elsewhere and convert them to increase share of wallet
  • Maintain a live plan for every account and run structured business reviews on a quarterly cycle
  • Lead tenders and preferred supplier negotiations in partnership with the Head of Sales & Marketing
  • Deliver a consistent schedule of planned face-to-face customer interactions, keeping activity and pipeline current in the CRM

Key Requirements:

  • Proven track record building, growing and retaining long-term B2B client relationships
  • Experience building multi-level relationships, running structured business reviews and negotiating commercially
  • Strong commercial acumen with a focus on long-term account value
  • CRM proficiency and a disciplined approach to opportunity management
  • Current driver’s licence and comfortable with regular overnight travel to customer sites, mainly across regional WA
  • Mining light vehicle or automotive parts knowledge, mine-site selling experience and exposure to EOS are highly regarded but not essential

This is a rare opportunity to join a growing, customer-focused business where strong client relationships drive account growth. On offer is an attractive salary package with a car allowance and commission structure, along with strong technical, sales and operations support behind you.
