We are seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters for a Rio shutdown from May 12th to 19th. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with an organisation known for its excellent team culture and a strong reputation for delivering high-quality maintenance and support. Ongoing shutdowns are available for the right candidate.
We are offering a $73/hr flat rate, with flights and accommodation included and an additional 12 hours travel allowance.
You will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks, specifically on sizers, working alongside skilled tradespeople in a supportive environment where safety and quality are vital.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on sizers and crushers
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults
- Strip, clean, and assess parts/components
- General mechanical assembly of parts
- Operating hand and power tools as required
- Maintaining a strong focus on safety and adhering to site procedures
Key Requirements:
- Australian qualification in Mechanical Fitting (essential)
- Rio Tinto Induction (essential)
- Confined Space, Working at Heights and White Card tickets (essential)
- Willing to provide a Police Clearance (within the last 12 months) and pass a drug & alcohol screen
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety with excellent communication skills
